Sruthee bring you the songs from many Indian movies - Golden Oldies, Current Hits, and everything in between from Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Punjabi.
Shruti was formed in 2002. Since then, Shruti has performed many shows in multiple languages. Apart from private shows, some of the public performances are:

Shruti music group consists of more than 25 talented singers and professionally trained instrumentalists and musicians.
Introduction to a few Shruti members are:
Raja Jagadeesan, the founder member of Shruti has been a musician since 1976. He has learned Carnatic music from “Padmasree Kalaimamani Sri Kalakkad Ramanaryana Iyer” and later learned Piano from “Musee Musicals”, Chennai. Both his sisters are renowned Carnatic singers, popularly known as “Arcot Sisters”. Raja has conducted, sung and played keyboard in several light music stage shows in India and USA. Additionally to enhance his knowledge, he has done his music theory at “Northern Virginia Community college - Annandale”. He is the founder member, organizer, and conductor and lead vocalist of “Washington Shruti”. Also he teaches keyboard and piano to many students around Northern Virginia.
Sangeeta Seetharaman is the lead female singer with Shruti. Grew up in New- Delhi and later migrated to USA. Went to high school in NY and got her B.S. and M.S. from Pace University, New York. She has been practicing Carnatic music since her childhood. She belongs to the musical family. Her grand parents, father, mother and sister are all excellent Carnatic vocalists. She is gifted with excellent voice. She has also competed in the Sun T.V. music show - Sapthaswarangal.
Dr. Anand Chellappa is an accordionist and composer. By profession, a retired medical doctor served US navy since 1973. He has a great knowledge in Carnatic as well as western music. He can write music notations (western and Carnatic), by just hearing a tune without the help of any musical instrument. He has been playing accordion for several cine music recordings under the famous music director Melissai Mamannar Dr. M.S.Viswanathan. Dr. Chellappa has composed many songs and singers like P.Suseela has sung for his composition. Recently he has played accordion for the Rajinikanth’s movie “Kuselan” under music director G.V.Praskash (nephew of A.R.Rahman).
